FAR FROM HOME - CHATELAINE

I recently spent time with a Yazidi family - three women and six children - from northern Iraq who are building a new life in Toronto after fleeing genocide at the hands of ISIS. Despite the unthinkable journey they have been on and the internal and external obstacles they face as a result, this family's strength was palpable and the joy from their love for one another at times made me forget what they've been through and why they're here. Read Naomi Buck's story here in Chatelaine.
